Women's Activity Groups

When you have time for yourself, (if that ever happens!) what do you do? Curl up with a blanket and watch a movie? Enjoy the beauty of nature by going on a hike? Maybe you love to make home d├ęcor projects, or enjoy quality time knitting? Join other women who enjoy the same activities you do at our events every month! Bring a friend or make new ones!

Do you have a craft that you've been meaning to finish (or start!) for months now?  Something you found on Pinterest that would look great in your living room?  A cute accessory to go with that perfect outfit?  Ascrap book for your baby before he/she graduates from college? If so...this is the place for you. Come get inspired, meet new friends, and create something great! Bring your supplies and a snack to share. We will have a Cricut Cutter and lots of cartridges on hand for you to use.  We meet one Friday per month at the fire station, on Lindsay and Adobe in the community room from 4:30-10 PM. See you there! Email J_Braaten@hotmail.com for more information and the next dates.

Patterns of Grace is made up of women with all levels of quilting skills. We meet the second Saturday of every month from 9 AM to 2 PM on the Mesa Campus in room 261/262. Bring a sack lunch and enjoy the day quilting with no distractions! We ask that each quilter contributes $5 a month to a "Patterns of Grace Kitty" used to buy fabric for community service projects, or other needs the club may have.

We go on retreats twice a year. In spring we go to Prescott, and in the summer we go to Payson. We leave Mesa on Friday morning and return Sunday late afternoon. In between, we stop at quilt shops on the way, get very little sleep, do lots of quilting and laughing (with no kids, husbands, dishes or laundry to worry about!)

Email Marcia at PatternsofGrace@CentralAZ.com for more information.

Whether you like to knit, croquet or purl, we offer you two opportunities each month to get together with other Stitchers - the first Saturday we meet at the Mesa campus and the third Thursday we meet in a private home in Gilbert. Contact Laura at laurabeckom@gmail.com for more information and to get directions to her home.

Impressions From the Heart gathers monthly to put together stamped homemade cards for various ministries at Central to use. We use all the scrap paper and donated supplies that we can find. We supply the stamps, ink, paper, and adhesives as well as the actual card designs. We meet the second Monday of each month, 7-9 PM, in the Cafe on the Mesa Campus.

No creative skills required, just willing hearts and hands. Email ImpressionsoftheHeart@CentralAZ.com for more information.

Do you love to get outside and take in the beauty of nature? We do too! And trust us, it's so much better with friends! Join us for some laughs, beautiful scenery, and some great memories hiking the Arizona trails! Email HikerChicks@CentralAZ.com for more information.

Upcoming Adventures:

November 18: Piestewa Peak, Phoenix area

December 9: Goldmine/Dynamite Loop, San Tan Mountain Regional Park

Are you an HGTV fan?  Do you ever see cute accessories or fun home furnishings at a boutique and wonder how you can have them without paying boutique prices?  Well, we have taken all the newest fashion and home interior trends and made them easy to duplicate at a fraction of store prices.  Even if you are not that "creative," but can copy what the person next to you is doing - you will be able to take home your very own Divine Creation - and have fun with your friends at the same time!

We meet quarterly on all campuses. Costs for each project varies and all of the materials needed will be supplied for you. Visit our events or your individual campus page to see what is coming up on your campus!
