Parenting for Safety and Permanency Model Approach to Partnerships in Parenting (PS-MAPP) training is offered
to individuals and families interested in continuing through the foster care and adoption licensure
The PS-MAPP class is a 10 week course. Each class meets for approximately 3 hours and the course covers
topics that will help prepare you to decide if your family should foster, what ages are right for your family, and
how to care for children once they are placed in your home. These classes give a realistic taste of what it
would be like to foster children.
A major part of the adoption/foster process is completing a PS-MAPP training class. Please know that
regardless of which agency you choose, you can attend our PS-MAPP class.
