Holy Week: Wednesday

On this Holy Wednesday, preparations were made for the Passover. Passover is the festival celebrating the Israelites escape from Egypt. In Exodus, God told Moses to order the Israelite families to sacrifice a lamb and smear the blood on the door of their houses. In this way the angel would know to 'pass over' the houses of the Israelites.

Not much else is recorded on this day. Some believe Jesus took time to rest.
